A Golden Morgan Hill Family Session

Some afternoons stay with you long after the light fades. This golden Morgan Hill family session was one of them.

I was first introduced to sweet Brooklyn many years ago when she was working with one of my dear, generous-hearted clients. She had come along with them on a photoshoot one afternoon to graciously help with the little ones. And even then, I could see it … that natural ease she has with children, that genuine kindness. She’s the kind of person who makes you feel heard and valued in conversation. It’s a rare quality that I treasure tremendously. So when I heard through mutual friends that she and her husband Jason had welcomed their daughter Francesca (sweet Frankie!), I was so thrilled for them. I knew she would just make an absolutely incredible mama.

Life has a funny way of writing itself, doesn’t it? During Covid, they uprooted and moved across country to Tennessee with family. A decision born out of that uncertain time when so many of us were reevaluating everything. But California kept whispering to them. Home was calling. They’re settled now in a beautiful home back in the Bay Area. And you can just feel how happy they are. Brooklyn has built something really special from the ground up ~ her own successful, joy-filled event styling business, working alongside friends who are like family. Jason is doing the same in real estate, building and leading his own thriving business with that same integrity and vision. Together, they’re creating this beautiful life. One filled with intention, love, and dreams all coming to life with such grace.

Sweet Frankie with those big, expressive eyes, has already stolen everyone’s hearts! Myself included!! She’s such a content, happy baby … one of those magical little souls who just seems to radiate peace. At the time we captured these moments together, she was just beginning to discover her smile and her laugh … those magical early months when everything is brand new. Brooklyn and Jason love taking her on walks, showing her the world, and saying silly things to make her giggle. Watching them together, you can see how smitten they both are. I mean, the way Jason just looks at his beautiful girls will melt you right there. There’s something about witnessing the three of them together that makes you believe in perfect timing … like every twist and turn in their story was quietly leading them right here to each other.

We wandered through those golden hills that evening, baby Frankie resting peacefully in their arms, and that pinky ombre sunset at our backs. There was something so unhurried about it all. We weren’t racing against the light or frantically trying to capture every single moment. We just enjoyed it. Stopping to take a selfie together as the sun dipped even lower, we laughed at the idea of playing dress-up out in the middle of this grand landscape. It was one of those rare, beautiful evenings where time seemed to slow down just enough to let you breathe it all in.

These early days with little ones are so fleeting. Those first smiles and laughs, the way Frankie’s big eyes take in the world, the quiet way Jason looks at his girls, and Brooklyn’s natural maternal grace. These moments deserve to be held onto. Thank you, Brooklyn and Jason, for trusting me with your story. For sharing all that boundless, beautiful energy and love.
