A Hilltop California Newborn Session

I hadn’t seen this mama friend (talented Bay Area designer Paula Vivas) in over two years! I was so excited she was pregnant and thrilled to be able to capture her family together again upon her little one’s arrival! We met that warm sunny afternoon, high in the Northern California hills, for this sun-drenched Bay Area Newborn session.

I looked around at the rolling, golden hill-scape, thinking about where we might adventure together later that afternoon.  Aside from the occasional car that wound its way through the undulating periphery (and the occasional friendly hiker), it was quiet. Two large hawks sailed on the gentle wind current above as the sun began to dip a bit lower in the afternoon sky.  I made my way back to the car, gravel crunching beneath my canyon boots, so very excited to see them! 

It’s been such a treat to capture them at various stages with their babies ~ to see their family grow from three to four to five has been pretty special. I was thrilled to see them and how much the girls had grown! And, to meet little Luca. Oh my goodness, what a handsome, loved little guy!! 

We explored and played until the sun turned out the lights. Saying goodbye is never easy. However, I do leave so incredibly excited to see all the moments that were captured.  The days go by so quickly … it can be a bit of a blur, really. Hoping these love-filled moments, serve as a tangible reminder of those early days together and the immeasurable love they share! I hope with every capture, they feel it.
